1. Turn off noise sources such as fans, AC etc.

2. Place the device you can't shut off behind   

    the microphone

3. Move closer to the microphone

4. Avoid leaving the mic on the desk, use a

    boom or tripod instead

5. Avoid "plosives" sounds and get a pop filter

6. Record in your closet if you have to, your

    clothes will act as a dampener

7. Set your gain correctly (-10 is a sweet spot)

8. Don't move around when recording, stand

    still and face the microphone

9. Speak into the correct side of the mic
